A pair of black SKS 60mm wide 26" mudguards for the commuting bike

With a manufacture date on the pack of 2005.  ;D

My LBS only charged me £25 for them rather than the current list price as that's based on what he paid for them from his supplier back then. How very fair.  :)

& a rear gear inner cable, so if I can find some drop bar levers in the bits box  I can fit the moustache bars  with bar end shifters I have to the commuter which currently has flat bars.

MUC Off C3 lube, initially not impressed, on one web site it said it is a dry lube however Muc Off state it is a wet lube, I do not like wet lubes as they attract to much road muc (sorry  ::-))

A CTT handbook
A shorter (110mm) stem so I can get a better position with clip-on aero bars.

These two purchases may be related.

Arrived yesterday so not strictly today. Some shorts and tights from Tenn Outdoors, and a skull cap and summer cap from CRC.

I tried the skull cap and the tights out yesterday and was impressed :)

Nah - I actually want a twist-shifter on the Pug, which rules the 11-speed out. Bummer etc.

EDIT: Just ordered the hub plus a suitable disc rotor. Now all I need is the bike to put it on :)

Saturday I bought Hope Race X2 brakes.  I am going to plant them in the shed and wait for them to grow into N+1.

I've put my two bikes together and am hoping they'll breed...

Keeping the BSO out of it though, don't want another one of those!   ;D

replacement chainset and BB for the MTB. It is making alarming creaking and banging noises, and has far too much play in it.

I seem to have bought a White Industries Freewheel.

And as it won't fit on my existing hub a Surly ss disc hub for it.

The single or double variety?
Sorely tempted by one of their '2 speed' freewheels for the Pug.

A very yellow Altura Nevis arrived today thanks to this tip off by A Warwickshire Lad.  It was sold as a second and has a small blemish in the material that makes it look like I have been stabbed between the shoulder blades.  It is a very different jacket from my old, dying, Nevis and the fit is somewhat baggy but for £10 I can't complain.  I guess that I can use the money that I saved to eat more pies.

I have just tested it on a quick ride to Tesco and didn't get wet, sweaty or squashed so that'll do me.

Thanks to you and AWL for that heads up, as far as the provenance is concerned.....

Popped into the Lbs 2wheels only shop Tamworth http://www.2wheelsonly.co.uk/index.asp & bought a new bidon, a pro storage bottle & a kryptonite keeper 512 lock.  When I paid for it the owner said call it a tenner so that's saved me around £6.  Who said supporting your Lbs costs you money  :)

A Lezyne waterproof tool bag (I don't want this for tools, it's for keeping mobile phone and wallet dry in)
A mini ratchet set on sale for a fiver
A new chain for the Sabbath
A running waist belt. There is a distinct possibility I won't actually run in this.

Today the postman has delivered a saddle and rear dérailleur to go with my spare pare of pedals.

They now have a friend:

Lovely piece of engineering, seems a shame to get it dirty on a bike.

After realising that my cycling inner/liner shorts had a number of holes in them I needed a replacement pair, ideally cheap.

Choices in Harrow on the Hill, where I work are limited, so whilst on the way to see what Halfrauds stock I thought I'd have a look in Sports Direct, not my normal store of choice.

Imagine my surprise when I found functional and cheap longs (with pad) and shorts for £11 and £8 respectively in their 70% sale! Best of all they're branded as Muddy Fox so I can look truely retro-tastic and far too 'try hard' co-ordination wise when I ride this...
