A bike for MrsC - a certain shade of bluey-green unique to Italy. She'd better bloody like it!

ETA: I went on the Dirty Disco since the Rohloff bike had a flat front tyre; I only noticed it as I was taking the bike outside.
So much for my Jureking prowess  :-[

A rim and a bunch of spokes and a collection of nipples to fettle together my  nice shiny new dyno-hub.
(Ambrosio Evolution rim, and ACI double butted spokes)

ETA - rim now laced to hub!

The half-price Assos arm-warmers (as mentioned in some other thread) arrived this morning.  They're quite good, but appear to be designed for stick insects (I'd ordered the middle size of three).  I'll send them back and see if the larger version are any good, or just stupidly long.

I bought a bottom bracket from Chain Reaction (sale price too good not to) on Wednesday. It arrived today (good service  ) - in the sort of box Wiggle used to favour.

So, I received an awful lot of air.

A SRAM Garmin mount. Rather expensive for a bit of plastic, but I need the handlebar space it'll save for lights. :-\

Some more Park glueless patches (I'd almost ran out) and a seatpost collar for Pugsley.

That they are, but their usefulness almost outweighs the expense - I got a BarFly mount (more or less the same as the SRAM one, so far as I can make out) and it's allowed the Garmin and the Ay-Up light bracket to coexist peacefully without having to resort to a SpaceGrip or similar - this is good, since the build quality of the gen-yoo-ine Minoura SpaceGrip seems to have gone right down the dunny.

I did consider one of the CNC'd K-Edge mounts (even more expensive, but METAL) until I read that their very metalness did unpleasant things to the mounts on Edge 800s.

A really heavy-duty lock, because my old D-lock seized up and I'm not too happy about leaving my bike locked up round Glasgow with a cable lock.

A new battery for my Ay-Ups - my existing one has an unspecified fault (blinky green light when hooked up to the charger) which, apparently, can usually be fixed via a full discharge/recharge cycle. Unfortunately, since the lights are currently in rather heavy use, I need to get a spare battery before I can do this (looking at 11-12hrs for full discharge/recharge and my lone charger lives at home)

Just received an email from DHHell GmbH to the effect that the battery is now winging its way from Brisbane to somewhere in Germany on the first leg of its journey to me.

Have enough scratches on my knees from mudguard stays (can't trim them down enough as I need the extra space to fit the studded tyres for winter). Will fit them with glue this time!
