I had a crush on someone from another on line forum.

It seems to be working out, though, so hardly *secret*

Loaded once had her on their front cover, with the caption "Lisa Rogers.  And you can't say fairer than that."

I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

Variously over the years:
Beth Orton - singer/songwriter

Cat Power - singer/songwriter

Scout Niblett - singer/songwriter (on a bike!)

Do you see a theme here? I actually met Cat Power in the pub at Butlins, Camber Sands, in 2004 (it was hosting a music festival called All Tomorrows Parties). She came and sat down at the table I was at - we were both pretty toasted and just pulled faces at each other.

And I also just remembered:
Solex - singer/songwriter!

She owns a second hand CD shop in Amsterdam, I went there (on my Brompton) one time with the express interest of saying hello to her, but when I got there she looked like she was in a right mood, so I bottled it!

All fine and talented ladies...

God, this thread!

I read that as "I painted her bosom once, loverly woman"
It is simpler than it looks.

Then you'll probably dig Scout Niblett too. I got interested in her in 2005 when I was in Sydney - saw her live. One song in particular stuck, called 'Fuck Treasure Island'. Listen to stream here.

I just remembered - there was one beautiful actress I remember from Bollywood films at the Ajanta - Rekha, I think (can't remember her surname).  She was stunning...
Getting there...

Maybe so, but her silly, pretentious name puts me right off.

Well her real name is Emma Louise Niblett and the Scout bit is inspired by the character Jean Louise "Scout" Finch, from Harper Lee's 'To Kill a Mockingbird'. I don't think that's silly or pretentious - she's an artist and she's honouring a hero of hers.

Did you know that gold-faced General Klytus (snigger) was played by "Jason King" actor Peter Wyngarde, who was arrested after being caught in flagrante delicto with a truck driver in Gloucester bus station lavatories?

Well, I know (and love) Beth Orton's music.  I'll have to check out the others...

There seem to be lots of gurl related crushes and not too many boys.

I had a crush on Virgil (Thunderbirds) as a kid...  ;)

If anything, knowing that makes me think it's even more pretentious.

Anyway.

Err. Sorry, still stuck on Phillipa at the moment.
