I didn't realise we had a boaty thread. Not sure why this made me think of you lot... (edit: no idea why dropbox appears to be misbehaving... it's blocked from work so I was trying to post from my phone. I'll fix it this afternoon when I get to a decent PC.)

Those things terrify me. I look at them and my mind says "No way is that thing stable in a swell".If the dynamic stabilizers failed, I reckon they'd last minutes in serious storm.

Remember what happened to the Costa Concordia. 32 passengers died while the ship was sinking only a few dozen meters from the shore. I cannot even imagine what would happen if a similar event took place far from the shore...
