I'm never impressed with the Maindru photos. Last two editions I've refused to buy the photos because basically they were crap: most weren't even properly in focus.
Did they have prints for people to view at Rambouillet? The thumbnails on the Maindru web site are so small you can't tell if the pics are in focus or not.

They're good as a souvenir but they're not photographically good.
I would have liked either a really nice backdrop or some bokeh, but not just random buildings or, especially, cars. Any shot with a car in the frame certainly won't be being bought by me.
It's a shame no one did any panning shots. It's not that hard, all you need is a descent so riders are going well over 20mph, set your shutter to about 1/30 or 1/40, and follow the rider using burst as they pass.
If I didn't ride I'd try and do better myself. Maybe I could try LEL...
I think if I bought one and it was out of focus I would demand a refund as that's just unprofessional.
