Just spent the best part of a month in Hong Kong/Vietnam. Went to go back to do the Chinese wedding banquet, and to do the "wedding photos", then a couple of weeks exploring North Vietnam. Wedding photos in Asia are very very different. Basically you get an entire team of photographers, make up artists and lighting people, to follow you around for half a day, while they make you do cheesey photos. Absolutely loved it. Other half wanted to get photos in the parts of Hong Kong she grew up in, so lots of scouting locations, and then explaining to various restaurant owners, workshop owners, shop owners, how we'd like to shoot a couple of photos in their property, and everyone was very obliging. Won't see the finished results for months, so all we have are snaps from smart phones.

It was great fun, I think this sort of thing could catch on over here.

Think I've overdone the vignette but it hides the gantries and power cables on the viaduct.  The MG is Raven Black so I thought the mono worked.  Recently got the car back after a £5000 repair bill to replace the left side and rear suspension (other party insurance funded) and thought I should get a record before anybody else attacked it.

How do you get your bike into it?
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight

@T42 - I actually have a boot lid bike rack .  It works but doesn't do much for the lines of the car - especially when the hood is down.  Hardtop fitted at the moment.

Old snap of a previous MG with rack on boot.  Whistles a bit.

Question

How do you make an MG desirable?

Some people say I'm self-obsessed but that's enough about them.

Not a great picture but where I've been spending my evenings this week.

That's a Yamaha M7CL 48 channels of digital audio loveliness, and totally over the top but I love it.

Sauntered up the rigg at Mardale (yesterday - no way I'd have gone up there today).  Lovely winter sun and stormy skies over Harter Fell and Nan Bield.
